What is not included in the price of cruise holiday?

As you can read in this FAQ, a lot is included in the price of a cruise. However, you can make your cruise holiday as cheap or as expensive as you wish, because the ships offer many activities that you can join for a fee.

Transport to/from country of departure

Flights/transportation to the country of departure are not included. 

Specialty restaurants

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the cruise price. The food is always of high quality. If you want to eat in a sushi or grill restaurant for an evening, you have to pay an extra amount per person.

Drinks

As standard, tea and coffee are included in the price for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other drinks are not included in the price. You can then choose to pay for each drink separately or choose a drink package. Depending on the drink package you have chosen, you can drink different types of beverages for free.

Wellness

A cruise holiday is of course meant to help you relax and discover the world. If you would like to have a massage with that, that is always possible. Depending on the shipping company, access to the Spa is still included in the price, but special massages are only available at an additional cost.

Activities

Many of the activities on board a cruise ship are free to use. In addition, there are also activities for which a fee must be paid. Think of the go-kart track on Norwegian Cruise Line, the Surf simulator on Royal Caribbean or the Formula 1 simulator on MSC Cruises.
