Skiing in Zillertal

Ski holidays in Zillertal take place in the heart of the Tirol. The valley is home to numerous well-known ski resorts including Kaltenbach, Stumm, Mayrhofen, Fügen, Gerlos, Zell am Ziller and others, making a ski holiday in Zillertal very popular among winter holiday goers from all across Europe. With idyllic farms and rustic villages, skiing in Zillertal exhibits some of the most beautiful parts of Austria.

Travelling around the areas for skiing in Zillertal could not be more convenient. There are regular ski buses that travel between the villages and a free train service between Jenbach and Mayrhofen. If, for whatever reason, one of the ski areas has bad snow conditions, then the Hintertux Glacier provides 100% snow guarantee. There are also snow cannons to give nature a helping hand when necessary.

In total, skiing in Zillertal provides around 624km of pistes and, snow permitting, loads of trails in the valley perfect for cross-country skiing. With a number of beginners to more advanced slopes, a ski holiday in Zillertal provides something for everyone.
