Skiing in Avoriaz

With approximately 75 kilometres of slopes, the Avoriaz ski area offers plenty of opportunities for both beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts. Beginners can explore the Proclou area, which features several kilometres of gentle runs designed specifically for those new to skiing. More advanced skiers can take on the legendary Mur d'Avoriaz, also known as the 'Wall of Avoriaz', one of the area's most challenging descents.

The comprehensive ski pass provides access to Les Portes du Soleil, one of Europe's largest ski areas, with more than 600 kilometres of slopes stretching across France and Switzerland. Thanks to its high altitude and reliable snow conditions, excellent skiing can generally be enjoyed from December through April.

Avoriaz itself offers 54 slopes, including 8 green, 27 blue, 14 red and 6 black runs. The completely car-free resort is seamlessly integrated into the ski area, and most accommodations are located directly on or just a short distance from the slopes. As a result, it is perfectly normal to ski right back to your doorstep at the end of the day.
