In an ultimate location at the foot of the slopes and on the edge of the forest is the beautiful, luxurious Excellent Résidence P&V Premium Amara. This is the absolute perfect option for a carefree holiday. The residence consists of 5 buildings in the front part of Avoriaz, in the La Falaise district, with luxurious and spacious apartments. These buildings are interconnected by heated galleries. With the slopes practically on the doorstep and only a short walk to the car-free centre, all highlights are close by.
The apartments offer the perfect combination of a modern interior with traditional touches. They are spacious and offer a high quality of comfort. On the wonderfully soft beds, you can completely relax. In addition, there are fluffy bathrobes, a luxurious bathroom and an open kitchen. In the fully equipped kitchen, you can prepare delights for your entire group or easily discover the countless restaurants in the centre. From the balcony, you also have a phenomenal view over the valley of Morzine. You can even enjoy the luxury of fresh french bread being delivered to your door each morning.
After an adventurous day out in the open air, you can relax in the Deep Nature Spa by Algotherm. For a small fee, you also relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi with great views over the slopes or warm up in the soothing sauna. For an additional cost of €27,- per person per night you can book half-board. For children from 2 to 12 years old the surcharge is €15,- per person per night.
Half board is served in Restaurant Boule de Neiges which is approx. 500m away. You can reach this restaurant after a 10-minutes walk.

Avoriaz ski holidays are one of the most popular winter breaks in all of France. Due to its high altitude and car free village, skiing in Avoriaz offers mostly ski-in, ski-out accommodations throughout the winter. The architecture is beautiful with many buildings using a lot of wood to create a rustic, traditional alpine ambience. Although the village is car free, there are still plenty of ways to quickly get around, one of which being the charming horse sleighs dotted around the village.
Local transport is only included in the accommodations: Résidence Antarès, Résidence Atria and Résidence Electra. The shuttle bus runs daily from 08:00 - 19:00.
Avoriaz ski holidays are known for being a great for both beginners and young children. Skiing in Avoriaz offers around 77km of pistes, however with the full Les Portes du Soliel lift pass you have access to over 650km. Les Porte du Soleil is home to a number of other famous French resorts including Morzine, Châtel and Les Gets. With the full lift pass it is even possible to ski all the way to Switzerland!
Whilst remaining popular among families, skiing in Avoriaz also offers a fantastic après-ski scene. There are many renowned restaurants and lively bars including Shooters and The Place. Aside from skiing in Avoriaz, there are plenty of fun options to keep busy. Aquariaz is considered “a water paradise”, it has a number of pools, rapids, a rope swing and much more. There is also a cinema, a theatre and snow huskies within the region.

For beginners on a ski holiday in Avoriaz there are plenty of gentle and easy-to-master slopes and for the dare devils, there is the famous Wall of Avoriaz, considered one of the most difficult pistes to ride in the area. For advanced skiers, skiing in Avoriaz might not be enough. You can always upgrade your lift pass to the bigger area of Les Portes du Soleil where you will have access to 650km of slopes. Due to the high altitude, a ski holiday in Avoriaz offers perfect snow conditions from December until April.

It is not likely that the service charger will be added to the bill automatically. If you are pleased with the service you can round off or leave a tip of 10%.
The voltage is 220 and the socket is different compared to the general UK sockets. You can buy an European adapter in most airports and supermarkets.
A UK mobile phone should work in France. The setup for this may differ per provider, so it is best to inquire about this before hand.
Safety on the slopes:
In France, wearing a helmet is not mandatory but recommended (especially for children). In ski classes (for all ages), it is often compulsory.
You must be in possession of a valid passport in order to travel to France.
Food and Drinks:
Cheese, croissants, baguettes and wine! It is possible to drink tap water.
As a general rule, the shops are open on Monday/Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. However, some shops may close over lunchtime. On Sunday and Monday, a selection of shops are closed. Some supermarkets are open on Sunday mornings.

Travelling by car:
Most motorways in France require you to pay a toll fee. The Pas Piccolo San Bernardo is closed the whole winter (November - June). Always check the locat weather reports before departing.
In some cities and towns it is obligaroty to have a "environmentsl sticker". It is not possible to buy these stickers en route. You will have to order them online before you leave home. French authorities advise you to print out the form and the confirmation of the sticker if it does not arrive at your home in time. You can find the form on:
You fly with easyJet or Jet2 to Geneva. This flight takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Meals and drinks are not included during the flight.

In the booking steps it is possible to book a transfer. If you book a transfer via Sunweb, it will be a shared transfer to and from the resort. The average transfer time to Avoriaz is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. You are allowed to bring the following standard luggage: 1 bag/suitcase per person & 1 ski/snowboard bag per person. Ski passes for children up to and including 4 years old are free. If you are entitled to this free ski pass, choose 'no ski pass' when booking. You can pick up the free ski pass onsite by showing your proof of identity.
