Our commitment to accessibility

At Sunweb Group, we believe holidays should be accessible to everyone. We're committed to ensuring that all customers, including those with disabilities, can easily use our services and book a holiday independently.

1. Accessibility of our website

We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our digital services, including our websites and apps, in line with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), the EN 301 549 standard and the internationally recognised WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.

Customers can also choose to complete their booking by contacting our customer service team directly.

Information about prices, terms and conditions, cancellation policies and consumer rights is provided during the booking process and is also available in our General Terms and Conditions

3. Using Our Service

Our website is designed to be accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies.

Users can:

  • navigate using the main menu and search filters
  • refine results based on preferences such as price, destination and trip duration
  • complete the booking process through clear, step-by-step stages
  • complete forms and make payments

We design our website to support, among other things:

  • keyboard navigation
  • screen readers
  • structured content, including headings, fields and forms

We continuously work to improve the usability and accessibility of our services for all users.

4. Compliance Status

Sunweb aims to comply with the accessibility requirements set out in:

The accessibility of our website has been assessed through an evaluation carried out by a certified accessibility specialist (IAAP). While substantial parts of the website meet the applicable requirements, the website is currently only partially compliant with accessibility standards. We are continuously working to improve this.

5. Known Accessibility Issues

Despite our efforts, some parts of the website are not yet fully accessible, including:

  • A "Skip to main content" link is not available on all pages.
  • Some filters, scrolling functions and menus cannot be fully operated using a keyboard.
  • Keyboard focus is not always sufficiently visible.
  • Zooming, text resizing and content adaptation are limited on some pages.
  • Some text, functionality and visual elements do not meet the required colour contrast standards.
  • Some interactive elements have touch target areas that are smaller than recommended.
  • Some pages contain structural issues, including missing or incorrectly ordered headings and missing page landmarks.
  • Some interactive elements do not have an accessible name, a clear label, or a correctly defined role or status.
  • Alternative text is not yet available for all images, and some image galleries contain images that cannot be distinguished from one another based on their descriptions.
  • Some carousels and other moving content do not provide an adequate pause or stop function.
  • Some dynamic content updates are not announced to screen reader users.
  • Some pre-recorded videos do not contain fully accurate captions.
  • Not all PDF documents are fully accessible.
  • Some third-party information and third-party components have accessibility limitations.

We are actively working to address these issues and prioritise areas that are critical to the booking process.
