Chamrousse

Chamrousse is located 30km east of Grenoble and consists of two parts: Le Recoin and Roche Béranger. These villages are connected by buses, ski lifts, and slopes. The famous Croix de Chamrousse can be reached via a large cable car. From that point, you will have a beautiful panoramic view over Grenoble and the whole Isère Valley.

After skiing and snowboarding, there are still so many things to do in Chamrousse. There are several excellent shops, restaurants, and bars in the village, and the nicest bars are within walking distance of the slopes. Since the sun is often shining there, their terraces are always a great place to sit and enjoy a refreshing drink. Chamrousse even features an ice rink, a swimming pool, and a sports complex, and during a certain period in February you can even ski under the stars!

Whilst in Chamrousse, don’t miss the longest pylon zipline in the world, at approx. 2km in length!

  • Panoramic view of Grenoble and the Isère valley
  • Cosy bars and restaurants in the village
