Aschau

The charming village of Aschau is located in the Zillertal Valley between the villages of Kaltenbach and Zell am Ziller. From here you will have to go to one of the surrounding villages where you can access the ski bus to the ski area perfect for avid skiers. For après-ski, the best place is Mayrhofen at 13 kilometers away.

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

A Zillertaler Superskipass is included in the holiday price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for, for example, extending your lift pass or no lift pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2019 are free. Children born between 01/01/2006 and 31/12/2018 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

You can not book ski and snowboard rental directly when booking. Check out our FAQ  for more information about equipment rental.
