A ski lift is just 500 metres away from Alpenparks Appartementen and Ferienresort Rehrenberg. This ski lift takes you into the heart of the ski area of Zell am See (ZellamseeXpress) in just a few minutes. There is also a baby lift with a practice area within walking distance of the complex. The ski lift of Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a bit further away but is easy to reach by ski bus. The Schönleitenbahn in Vorderglemm ski lift is also reachable, at just around 3 miles away.

Viehhofen is a small and friendly village located along the main road. There is a practice lift next to the connecting lift, its own ski school, and a few shops. Viehhofen is a village that has traditionally been somewhat sheltered from its large neighbours, Saalbach, Hinterglemm and on the other side of Zell am See. Nevertheless, Viehhofen has been on the rise in recent years. For example, there are more and more chalets and apartments, and there is a beautiful valley descent from the ski area back to the village.

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.

Ski passes for children born after 1/1/2018 are free. Children born between 1/1/2005 and 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
