Due to its central location, there are lots of attractions in the immediate vicinity including popular après-ski bars and a number of different shops and restaurants. However, if you really don’t feel like cooking, you don’t even have to leave Residence Saalbach Apartments, with the half-board option, you receive a delicious breakfast and dinner at Restaurant AlpZell.
Residence Saalbach Apartments sits on the slope so most of the apartments get plenty of sun as well as stunning panoramic views overlooking Saalbach and the surrounding slopes. After a great day on the slopes, you can relax by either paying a visit to the sauna or enjoying a drink on the sun-soaked terraces
Four-room apartment type A: The bedrooms for 2 people have a balcony and the living room contains a large U-shaped sofa, so you can sit with 10 people in the room with two chairs. In the bathroom there is a Miele washing machine and dryer.
Four-room apartment luxury type: One of the apartments features a bedroom with bunk beds instead of a 2-bed.
4-room apartments with premium / superior: The premium/superior apartments concern a penthouse with lots of sunlight. These apartments have a high, sloping roof that exudes the atmosphere of a chalet and offer an unobstructed view over the village and mountains. The premium/superior apartments have two balconies. There is a balcony at the front (south) overlooking the village and a balcony at the rear overlooking the mountains or the slopes.
- The linen package and final cleaning are included in the price. The linen package includes one bed linen set and two towel sets. For the remaining sets there is an additional charge.
-The car par costs €64 per place per week. All 4 room apartments have one parking space per apartment in the garage under the residence. If you bring several cars you can park them in the Zentrum garage in Saalbach. The walking distance to this garage is around 6 minutes.
Skiing in Saalbach, more accurately the Skicircus village, a famous traditional winter sports destination, offers endless ski and snowboard fun for its visitors. The lively village of Hinterglemm is located slightly higher up the mountain at the Glemmtal. Both villages are connected by the pistes as well as a ski bus service. The Skicircus offers a versatile ski area with a total of 270km of well-groomed slopes and no less than 70 cable cars and lifts; it’s one of the most varied ski areas in all of Austria.
You will find more than 50 restaurants when skiing in Saalbach, some of which are considered real local favourites. The cosy mountain huts also offer an excellent traditional culinary option. In these huts, while Glühwein is kept warm in a large pot on an open fire, you can sit back and try some traditional snacks.
Ski holidays in Saalbach are known for their long nights as well as their long skiing days. There are plenty of lively bars and night clubs where you can party until the early morning. If you are interested in more active après-ski, you can also head for the indoor swimming pool, the ice skating rink or the tennis and squash courts. And for those skiing in Saalbach who feel brave enough – you can even go paragliding over the Alps.
Ski Alpin ski pass
From this season, the Ski Alpin ski pass will now be included in your package to Saalbach. With this ski pass you will have access to 3 large ski areas: Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn, Schmitten Zell am See and Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. With this ski pass, you can use more than 400 kilometres of slopes and more than 119 lifts.
The Skicircus alone has 270 kilometres of piste and is one of the largest ski areas in Austria. You can also ski in the family ski area Schmitten, where you will find various theme runs for children. Finally, you can still visit the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. This is the only glacier in Salzburg and offers 100% snow certainty 365 days a year.

Opening times shops:
Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.
Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.
The voltage is 230 volt.
UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.
You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

All Sunweb flights are booked with EasyJet. Hold luggage and ski equipment as luggage are NOT included in your package price. This can be added as an extra in Step 2 of the booking process. The price of luggage varies, as per Easyjets policies. All flight bookings include one cabin bag per person (maximum size of 56 x 45 x 25cm; including handles and wheels).

Return airport transfers are included in your package price when booking a flight package with Sunweb. These however can be removed in Step 2 of the booking steps if you would like to add in a hire car or seek an alternative travel arrangement. All transfers are shared transfers to and from your accommodation and the airport.
Due to the nature of shared transfers, there may be a wait time at the airport before your departure. This can be up to 1.5 hours. Please note that there will NOT be a Sunweb rep waiting for you at the airport as the transfer is managed by a partner. All information regarding the transfer (meeting point, departure times etc) will be explained on your travel documents that are sent to you 14 days before departure. The transfer will drop you off in the resort area; you may have not be dropped exactly outside your accommodation.
Departure from the UK:
Please ensure that you are not late and have checked in online before arriving at the airport. In addition to checking in online, you will have to enter your passport information. This is called API (advanced passenger information) and you will receive instructions from Sunweb after you have booked the holiday.
Arrival on Resort:
If you are planning on checking in late on your arrival day, it is almost always possible to get into your hotel or apartment. However, it is very important that this is arranged in advance. You will receive your travel documents two weeks before your departure, and this will include instructions on how to arrange your late arrival and collection of the key.
Once you agree to Sunweb’s Term’s and Conditions you are legally obliged to pay for the holiday and any cancellation fees that may apply.

In step 1 of the booking process, it indicates which days your lift pass is valid. If you want to use the ski lift on a different day then please make the adjustment in step 1 or write a comment in step 3 of the booking process. Our customer agents will be in contact with you directly confirm the adjustments. It is not possible to change the days of the lift pass once you have arrived at the destination.
If you wish to extend the lift pass, it can often be booked as an extra. The price for extending the lift pass can be found in step 1 of the booking process.
If you choose “no lift pass”, the discount can also be found in step 2 of the booking process.
Children born on or after 01/01/2015 are entitled to a free lift pass. Children born between 01/01/2002 & 31/12/2014 will get a discount on their lift pass. These discounts will be detailed in step 2 of the booking process.
