VAYA Post Saalbach is located in a beautiful 600-year-old building. Formerly Hotel Post, this building by Saalbach’s pretty village square has recently been transformed into a luxury hotel with top facilities and an abundance of charm. You will be staying in the middle of the bustling centre of Saalbach, with three different ski lifts all within walking distance.
The rooms & suites available are spread over two interconnected buildings. They are all furnished with an eye for comfort and quality, retaining a traditional alpine look, but with a warmth and atmosphere that is typical of VAYA.
After an active day on the slopes, you can fully recharge your batteries in the wellness area. You will find a sauna, a Turkish bath, and a small heated swimming pool at your disposal there.
You can enjoy a well-earned après-ski drink not only in the various huts by the slopes, but also on the outdoor terrace of VAYA Post Saalbach. Under a big umbrella, you can enjoy a delicious cocktail or mulled wine by the cosy fire pits. You won't have to leave the hotel for your evening meal either: a delicious dinner is served every night in the atmospheric hotel restaurant, Postmeister.
The hotel consists of 4 buildings in total: the main building, the 'Posthof' annex, and Villa Gloria are connected to each other and to Landhaus Post, which is directly next to the hotel.
Skiing in Saalbach, more accurately the Skicircus village, a famous traditional winter sports destination, offers endless ski and snowboard fun for its visitors. The lively village of Hinterglemm is located slightly higher up the mountain at the Glemmtal. Both villages are connected by the pistes as well as a ski bus service. The Skicircus offers a versatile ski area with a total of 270km of well-groomed slopes and no less than 70 cable cars and lifts; it’s one of the most varied ski areas in all of Austria.
You will find more than 50 restaurants when skiing in Saalbach, some of which are considered real local favourites. The cosy mountain huts also offer an excellent traditional culinary option. In these huts, while Glühwein is kept warm in a large pot on an open fire, you can sit back and try some traditional snacks.
Ski holidays in Saalbach are known for their long nights as well as their long skiing days. There are plenty of lively bars and night clubs where you can party until the early morning. If you are interested in more active après-ski, you can also head for the indoor swimming pool, the ice skating rink or the tennis and squash courts. And for those skiing in Saalbach who feel brave enough – you can even go paragliding over the Alps.
