At the foot of the beautiful slopes of Les Deux Alpes, you will find Résidence Sappey. The residence is simple but well cared for. The studios are traditionally furnished and offer beautiful views across the mountains.
With its central location, you are in the right place for a charming ski holiday. The ski lift, shops and restaurants can be found close by and easily accessible on foot. In the evening the centre of Les Deux Alpes is close by and the perfect place for some apres ski or to enjoy a delicious traditional evening meal.
Les Deux Alpes is one of our most popular destinations in France. As recently as 2015 it won ‘Best Ski Village in Europe’ at the World Snow Awards. It is one of the oldest ski resorts in France, and this is clearly visible in the architecture. It has a blend of old style wooden chalets and new apartment buildings. It also combines this with a number of great bars, restaurants and shops to create a unique French atmosphere.
Les Deux Alpes is a massive ski area that has over 225km of ski slopes. Of this around 162km is made up of blue and green slopes, making it an ideal ski holiday destination for beginners and families. The highest point of the ski area is 3600m, and the presence of a glacier means that it is fairly snow sure through out the whole of the winter season.
Les Deux Alpes is well known for its après ski. Along with Val Thorens and Val d’Isere it might have the best night lift in the whole of the French Alpes. The resort is split into several different districts. We offer accommodations in the center of Les Deux Alpes and 1650 and Les Deux Alpes 1800.
For non skiers there are plenty of different activities in Les Deux Alpes to keep you busy. There is a large sports center with a swimming pool, ice skating ring and squash courts. You can also try husky sledding, a snow show walk or try the sky walk at the top of the glacier.
The ski lifts of Le Diable and Vallée blanche have been converted into hybrid lifts, which is a combination of a chairlift and gondola lift. The advantage of this is that you can get where you want to be faster. The Jandri Express in Les Deux Alpes is also being renewed. They are already working on this and expect it to be finished by the end of 2024. This new gondola offers more comfort and safety in poor weather conditions. It also carries more passengers (three times as many!) so you won’t have to wait around.
More opportunities for beginner skiers have also been created in the ski area of Les Deux Alpes. For example, new beginner zones are now at the foot of the slopes, making them accessible to all skill levels.
