Skiing in Les Deux Alpes is not only fun because of its 200 kilometres of slopes, but also because of its fantastic après-ski scene! Whilst France is not normally known for its après-ski offerings, the Les Deux Alpes ski area stands apart. You can enjoy après-ski festivities both on and off the slopes there. Wondering where to go? In this blog, you will discover the top 5 après-ski bars in Les Deux Alpes.

1. La Grotte du Yeti

Can you often be found in an après-ski bar? Then you’re probably already familiar with the ‘Yeti Bar’, or La Grotte du Yeti. The popular Yeti Bar can be found in 12 ski resorts, including Les Deux Alpes. After a long day out on the slopes, La Grotte du Yeti is the place to relax. Live music is often played there, from DJs to bands. Before you know it, you’ll be dancing! The best thing about the Yeti Bar? It is loved by so many different nationalities. Why not brush up on your French, German, or Italian whilst enjoying a drink? Cheers!

2. De Prins van Oranje

Due to its international popularity, Les Deux Alpes has become a melting pot of different cultures. Fancy experiencing something new? Then don’t miss De Prins van Oranje. This Dutch après-ski bar is within walking distance of a ski lift, so it’s easy to reach after skiing. Events are organised regularly in De Prins, where you will often find people dancing the night away. Need to let off some steam? Then head to De Prins van Oranje: the place to be for après-ski lovers in Les Deux Alpes.

 3. Pano Bar

There is nothing better than skiing straight to a bar after the thrill of the slopes. At the Pano Bar in Les Deux Alpes, you can do just that. This après-ski bar is located at an altitude of 2600 metres, which means it gets busy quickly on sunny days. If you ask me, the best kind of après-ski drinks are the ones shared outside. Dance to the beat blaring from the speakers whilst you and your friends soak up the last rays of sunshine for the day. At other bars in the area, you’ll find the typical karaoke night, but the Pano Bar is the place to go for five-star DJs and music to lose yourself in. On top of that, you’ll have a stunning view of the slopes, the village, and the snow-capped mountains. All partied out? Then you can ski back down or take the Jandri Express.

4. La Rotonde

What could be more convenient than après-ski drinks right there on the slopes? La Rotonde by Le Diable au Cœur brings the drinks to you! And that’s not all, since you can also enjoy delicious dishes and fine wines at their adjoining restaurant. From your spot on the sunny terrace, you’ll be able to look out over the gorgeous scenery, the village, and the skiers gliding down the slopes. Fun events are also often organised there, including live DJs who are determined to see you dance. For the whole package, La Rotonde should not be missing from your après-ski list.

5. L’Avalanche

Can’t get enough of the après-ski scene in Les Deux Alpes? At L’Avalanche, you can dance until the sun comes up. That is, if you still have energy after all the kilometres of slopes you’ll have covered! L’Avalanche is a household name amongst skiers in this resort. Many different types of music are played there, so there is something for everyone. You’re bound to run into travellers from all over Europe there, and to leave with some new friends. From house music, to singalongs, to an impromptu conga line, the hours will fly by in L’Avalanche. Staying out late? The fresh mountain air will wake you up in no time the next day.
