Les Alpages de Val Cenis

Les Alpages de Val Cenis offers lovely apartments in the centre of Lanslebourg. If you like the idea of barely being out of your front door before you start skiing you will definitely appreciate this accommodation. The ski slopes are only a stones throw away so the only thing there’s left to do is to step into your skis, tighten your boots and make your first descent in the freshly groomed snow.

The apartments have a nice Alpine style interior and the panoramic view from the balconies is wonderful. There are some fine restaurants in the neighbourhood but you can also cook a delicious dish yourself in the kitchen in your apartment. Furthermore this accommodation offers different kind of leisure activities. Would you like to go for a swim in the pool or a work out in the fitness area? Val Cenis

Val Cenis consists of two lovely villages: Lanslebourg, which features a long street with a few hotels and Lanslevillard, a great village with excellent restaurants, a few lively bars, a nightclub and an ice skating rink. For relaxation you can make use of the swimming pool, sauna, public thermal bath and adrenaline seekers can sign up for paragliding.

Val Cenis is beautifully located in between the National Park of Vanoise and the regional park of Avigliana in Italy. The place is easily accessible, has a steady snow record and when the conditions are right you can even ski right down to your apartment doorstep.

For children there are two sleigh pistes and there are weekly torch tours through the area. There are two fun parks with a half pipe and various jumps for snowboarders as well as a few off piste descents for experienced skiers and snowboarders. Val Cenis is a great resort for hikers too. Here you will find approximately 29 kilometers of hiking trails and you can join snow boot hiking tours organised in the village as well.

Val Cenis

Thanks to the new connection with Termignon La Vanoise, the resort of Val Cenis has become even bigger since 2008. The new 45 km (28 ml) of pistes has turned this location into a vast resort with 125 km (78 ml) of great pistes for both novice and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. On the flanks of the Col de Mont Cenis, situated at the border between France and Italy, 19 lifts connect the villages of Val Cenis Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard.

The lower pistes are easy and run for the most part through the forests. From the middle station at an altitude of 2100 meters (6,900 ft), spacious and varied pistes offer a snow guaranteed area up to an altitude of 2800 meters (9,200 ft). We recommend the Arcelle, a fantastic ski route from l’Ouillon de la Tomba at the de top of the resort, back down to Lanslevillard.

Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can test their skills in one of the two snow parks located near the pistes of 'Familiale' and 'St. Pierre'. In addition, Val Cenis also has a few nice off piste descents.

Val Cenis

  • Eski-Mo ski pass can be added
  • Many snow-sure slopes
  • Longest green slope in Europe; L'Escargot
