Val Cenis

Val Cenis consists of two lovely villages: Lanslebourg, which features a long street with a few hotels, and Lanslevillard, a great village with excellent restaurants, a few lively bars, a nightclub, and an ice skating rink. For relaxation you can make use of the swimming pool, sauna, public thermal bath, and adrenaline seekers can sign up for paragliding.

Val Cenis is beautifully located in between the National Park of Vanoise and the regional park of Avigliana in Italy. The place is easily accessible, has a steady snow record and when the conditions are right you can even ski right down to your apartment doorstep.

For children there are two sleigh pistes and there are weekly torch tours through the area. There are two fun parks with a half pipe and various jumps for snowboarders, as well as a few off piste descents for experienced skiers and snowboarders. Val Cenis is a great resort for hikers too. Here you will find approximately 18 miles of hiking trails, and you can join snow boot hiking tours organised in the village as well.

Val Cenis

  • Located between National Park Vanoise & Park Avigliana
  • Guaranteed snow every year
  • Child friendly ski resort

Map

Val Cenis

Thanks to its connection with Termignon La Vanoise, Val Cenis has grown a lot over the years. It has turned into a vast resort with 125km of great pistes for both novice and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. By Col de Mont Cenis, at the border between France and Italy, 19 ski lifts connect the villages of Val Cenis Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard.

The lower pistes are easy and run for the most part through the forests. From the ski station at 2100 metres altitude, you can access wide and varied pistes in a snow-sure area up to an altitude of 2800 metres. We recommend the Arcelle, a fantastic ski route from l’Ouillon de la Tomba at the de top of the resort, back down to Lanslevillard.

Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can test their skills in one of the two snow parks located near the Familiale and St. Pierre pistes. In addition, Val Cenis also has some great off-piste descents.

Val Cenis

  • Eski-Mo ski pass can be added
  • Many snow-sure slopes
  • Longest green slope in Europe: L'Escargot
