Westendorf

Westendorf is a popular Dutch village. There are supermarkets, various spa treatments, great bars and restaurants and the après-ski is great. The Alpenrosenbahn takes you directly to Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. There is also an 8-person gondola which connects you to the Kitzbühel / Kirchberg ski area. The options are diverse, ranging from easy to intermediate runs with wide slopes to deep snow areas and black runs. You can go ice skating on a natural ice rink, tobogganing, curling and snowshoeing. Around Westendorf there is also an extensive range of cross-country trails.

Map

Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers some excellent options for both cross country and regular skiers. The villages of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Söll, Hopfgarten, Brixen im Thale and Westendorf share approximately 279 km (173 ml) of pistes to form the biggest interconnected ski area in Austria. Additionally, due to there being so many lifts in the area you are unlikely to encounter long queues.

You do not have to worry about the quality of the snow here either. In order to salvage the weaker areas outside of the winter season modern snow canons have been installed. The lift pass is included for the entire ski area of the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.

Lift pass, lessons and material

In step 1 of the booking process, it is indicated which days the lift pass is valid for (eg Sunday to Friday). If you would like the ski pass to start on a different day than shown in the booking steps, you must contact our contact centre by telephone. The booking can then be adjusted.

On destination, it is not possible to change the lift pass start date to another day. An extension of the lift pass can often be booked for an extra surcharge; the price for this can be found in step 1 of the booking process. The discount for "no ski pass" can also be found in the booking process.

Discounts:

The ski pass for children born from 1/1/2016 is free. Children born between 1/1/2003 and 31/12/2015 receive a discount on the ski pass. You will find these discounts in step 2 of the booking process.

Deposit: You must pay the deposit of approximately € 2 on site. You will receive this amount back when you return your pass.

The above surcharges and discounts are only valid when booking through Sunweb. At the destinations, other rates may apply.

Family weeks Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

All children born between 1/1/2007 and 31/12/2016 receive a free lift pass if:

- A parent buys a lift pass of at least three days.

- The entire duration of the lift pass falls within the period: 8/12/22 - 16/12/22 or 18/3/23 - 10/4/23.

In the booking steps, you must then choose “no lift pass” for the children. The free pass for the children can be picked up on site upon presentation of a voucher for the parents and proof of identity.

You can add lessons in step 2 of the booking process.

Please note: If you have booked a short-stay, it is not possible to book lessons through us. You can arrange this at the destination.

When booking ski lessons, you will be asked to specify your level of experience:

Beginners:
Only choose beginners lessons if you have never skied before.
Intermediate:
If you are able to break and make turns, choose this level.
Advanced:
If you are able to ski but you would like to improve your technique, please choose this level.

You can specify that you would like to include ski hire directly when booking.

The following types of material can be booked:

Bronze

This material is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. This material is particularly agile, so it makes turning and breaking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal material for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The material is agile, but also suitable to cut corners sharp. Even at high speeds these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high quality material, and are perfect for experienced skiers. This comfortable material is suitable on all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology, and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.

TIP: Tell our rental partner your exact requirements (eg off piste skiing) so they can help you select the right material.

NOTE: A helmet is not included in this package. You can choose to bring your own, or rent one locally if available.
