In the morning, a generous breakfast buffet awaits, featuring freshly baked rolls, cheese, cold cuts, and fresh fruit – the perfect start to your day. In the evening, enjoy traditional dishes in the cosy buffet restaurant, complete with wooden furnishings and views of the snow-covered surroundings.

The cross-country trails are just 100 metres away, and both a supermarket and several restaurants are within the same distance. The ski lift is located about 2 kilometres away, but you can reach it easily with the free ski bus (available with a valid ski pass).

Scheffau

Scheffau is situated in the centre of the skiing area Wilder Kaiser-Brixental between Ellmau and Soll. Via the Brandstadl gondola lift you can explore all of this skiing area with its beautiful wide pistes. Scheffau is a quiet and pleasant village with a simple shopping centre and a skiing meadow for the children in the centre of the village. There are also many walking trails that have been set up around the Hintersteinersee. You can have a great time in the evenings in the various bars and restaurants. There is also the energetic après ski event at the indoor and outdoor skating rinks.

For the children there is also the Kinderkaiserland, here the children can learn to ski in a playful way.

Travelling by car:

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Voltage:

The voltage is 230 volt.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

In step 1 of the booking process, it is indicated which days the lift pass is valid for (e.g. Sunday to Friday). If you would like the ski pass to start on a different day than shown in the booking steps, you must contact our contact centre by telephone. The booking can then be adjusted.

On destination, it is not possible to change the lift pass start date to another day. An extension of the lift pass can often be booked for an extra surcharge; the price for this can be found in step 1 of the booking process. The discount for "no ski pass" can also be found in the booking process.

Discounts:

The ski pass for children born from 1/1/2016 is free. Children born between 1/1/2003 and 31/12/2015 receive a discount on the ski pass. You will find these discounts in step 2 of the booking process.

Photo:

Ski passes for children and young people can only be obtained upon presentation of a valid photo ID.

Deposit:

You must pay the deposit of approximately €2 onsite. You will receive this amount back when you return your pass.

The above surcharges and discounts are only valid when booking through Sunweb. At the destinations, other rates may apply.

Family Weeks Wilder Kaiser-Brixental

All children born between 1/1/2008 - 31/12/2017 will receive a free ski pass if:

- A parent purchases a ski pass of at least 3 days duration.

- The entire duration of the ski pass falls within one of the following time periods: 8/12/23 – 22/12/23, or 16/3/24 – 1/4/24.

During the booking process, you must then choose the “no ski pass” option for the child in question. On presentation of a voucher for the parents and proof of identity, a free ski pass for the child can be picked up onsite.

Bronze

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.

Tell our rental partner your exact requirements (e.g., off-piste skiing) so that they can help you select the right equipment.
NOTE:
 A helmet is included in the ski equipment for children up to 11 years old. If you are older, you can bring your own helmet or rent one onsite, if available.
