Hotel Club Regina e Fassa is located in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski area, 6 km from Canazei. It offers a fitness room, a small wellness area with a sauna, and a beautiful sun terrace.
Each room features wooden floors and a TV. The private bathroom includes either a bath or a shower. A breakfast buffet is served every morning, with a selection of cold cuts, pastries, and hot and cold drinks. The hotel also has a cozy bar and a restaurant specializing in fine regional Italian cuisine.
Mazzin is the smallest village in Val di Fassa. In winter, the excellent ski bus service ensures that skiers are quickly transported to the lifts of the nearby Dolomiti Superski area, the largest ski area in the Alps. Cross-country skiers can step directly onto the Marcialonga di Fiemme e Fassa trail from here, which runs all the way to Canazei, or enjoy the easy routes between Fontanazzo and Campestrin, which are illuminated in the evenings.
In the Col Rodella area, located approximately 1,000 meters above Campitello, there are plenty of winter sports opportunities for beginner skiers and snowboarders. The gondola takes you directly to this area, where you can connect to the Sella Ronda. From Campitello, a ski bus to Canazei brings you back in about 10 minutes, making it easy to go shopping or enjoy après-ski in Canazei.
Dolomiti Superski
Twelve ski areas, all under one ski pass: Dolomiti Superski! The breathtaking mountain landscape of the Italian Dolomites offers an impressive variety of slopes. With the Dolomiti Superski pass, you gain access to no less than 1,200 kilometres of pistes and around 450 ski lifts — ensuring that even the most experienced winter sports enthusiasts won’t get bored.
With just one ski pass, you can explore well-known areas such as Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Arabba-Marmolada, Alta Badia, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Kronplatz, Sextner Dolomiten, Valle di Fiemme, San Martino di Castrozza, Valle Isarco, Trevalli-Moena and Civetta. The legendary Sella Ronda connects four of these ski areas (Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Alta Badia and Arabba-Marmolada). This famous circuit can be completed on skis or snowboard in approximately 5–6 hours and takes you across a spectacular landscape in the heart of the Dolomites — an unforgettable experience.
Cross-country skiers will also feel right at home here. Across the Dolomites, there are more than 1,000 kilometres of prepared trails. Popular routes include the 12-kilometre trail from Rautal to Pederti and the scenic tracks in the Gsieser and Antholzertal valleys.
Val di Fassa
Val di Fassa, located in Trentino, Italy, is a beautiful region made up of several charming villages, including Canazei, Campitello, Mazzin, San Giovanni di Fassa, Soraga and Moena. In the heart of the valley lies Canazei — one of the main destinations offered by Sunweb — with Campitello right next to it.
The slopes are well maintained and have a direct connection to the famous Sella Ronda. You’ll find a wide range of runs here: from long, gentle slopes for beginners to challenging mogul runs and steep black pistes for advanced skiers. Thanks to extensive snowmaking — covering up to 80% of the area, including the Sella Ronda — snow conditions are usually excellent throughout the season. Advanced skiers shouldn’t miss the famous “Alberto Tomba” run, known for its steep, almost vertical sections and stunning views. If you book accommodation in Canazei or Campitello, the Val di Fassa – Carezza ski pass is included.
Even without skis, there’s plenty to enjoy. On the sunny Ciampedie plateau in Catinaccio, for example, you can relax and take in the views. Children will love “Kinderland” in Canazei, a fun park for ages 4 and up where they can play and take their first steps on the snow. There’s also a children’s play area in Ciampac above Alba, with ski instructors and supervisors providing entertainment. For teenagers and freestyle enthusiasts, the snow park in Pozza di Fassa is a great spot. In addition to skiing, you can also enjoy activities such as paragliding, ice climbing, snowtubing and sledding. The different villages are easily accessible by ski bus for around €10 per person per week. In short: Val di Fassa offers something for everyone, making it a versatile and popular winter sports destination.
New modern cable car in Val di Fassa
A new ultra-modern 3S cable car has recently opened between Campitello di Fassa and Col Rodella. The lift features 22 cabins for up to 30 people each and can transport more than 2,100 passengers per hour. Thanks to the advanced 3S system, the ride is both fast and very stable, taking you to the summit in less than six minutes. The cabins are equipped with heated seats, large panoramic windows and energy-efficient technology. This major upgrade improves access to the Sella Ronda and significantly enhances the overall skiing experience in the area.
