On skis or on a snowboard, the Sella Ronda takes about 5 - 6 hours to complete, covering 42km kilometres of slopes in the heart of the Dolomites. Val di Fassa
Val di Fassa in Trentino, Italy is a beautiful area that consists of the villages of Canazei, Campitello, Mazzin, San Giovanni di Fassa, Soraga, and Moena. The slopes are well maintained and offer a direct connection to the famous Sella Ronda ski circuit. There are long and wide slopes for beginners, but also mogul slopes and black slopes for more advanced ski enthusiasts. If there is not much snow, Val di Fassa (or Fassatal) has snow cannons covering 80% of its slopes, including the Sella Ronda. So, you can enjoy yourself regardless of the snow conditions! If you are an advanced skier, do not miss the almost vertical piste, Alberto Tomba. This piste is one of the most beautiful in Val di Fassa.

Even if you’re not into skiing, this area is a lovely place to stay, especially on the sunny Ciampedie plateau in Cantianaccio. New modern cable car in Val di Fassa
Val di Fassa has recently introduced a new state-of-the-art 3S cable car connecting Campitello di Fassa with Col Rodella. The lift features 22 cabins for 30 passengers each and can transport over 2,100 people per hour. Thanks to the 3S system, the ride is extremely stable and fast, reaching the top in under six minutes. The cabins offer heated seats, large panoramic windows and energy-efficient technology. This major upgrade improves comfort and significantly enhances the flow of skiers towards the Sella Ronda.

Traveling by car:
The national roads are well passable. Pas Piccolo San Bernardo is closed throughout the winter season (November to June).
Keep in mind that the highways require a toll. If you travel via the Austrian motorways, you must be in possession of a toll sticker. For some motorways, tunnels and roads in Austria there is no vignette requirement, but a separate toll must be paid, such as the A13 from Innsbruck-Süd to the Italian border.
There is no general obligation in Italy for winter tyres. Winter equipment (chains or winter tyres) may be mandatory on mountain roads. This is indicated with a traffic sign. Not using winter tires in winter conditions can lead to (joint) liability in the event of accidents and also have criminal consequences. In Austria and Germany, winter tires are required in winter conditions.
In case of breakdown or an accident, it is mandatory that all road users wear a reflective vest.
If you travel via France:
Please note: in some cities it is mandatory to have an environmental sticker from 1 July 2017. If you drive over the Paris ring road, the Boulevard Périphérique, you will also need an environmental sticker in many cases. The vignette can not be obtained along the way, but can only be ordered online. The French police advise to print out the application form and the confirmation and to take it with you if the vignette is not delivered in time by post. Food and drink:

The ski pass for children born after 31/12/2018 is free. Children born between 1/1/2008 and 31/12/2017 receive a discount on the ski pass. You will find these discounts reflected in the calculation of your travel price. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.
