Hotel Weisses Lamm

Hotel Weisses Lamm is a modern winter getaway in See, a small town in the middle of the Paznaun area. It is popular for its great location close to the centre and ski lifts, its comfortable beds, and its first-rate facilities. There are several swimming pools, saunas, and spa treatment rooms where you can have your stiff muscles massaged after a long day of skiing. There is also an excellent restaurant, where all dishes are cooked with fresh and local ingredients.

The popular Paznaun region is spread over four ski areas: See, Ischgl, Kappl and Galtür, all of which are easily accessible from Hotel Weisses Lamm. The ski bus stops opposite the hotel and the nearest ski lift is just 600 metres away. How good does that sound? In addition, the hotel has a ski room where you can store your belongings and a bar where you can enjoy schnapps and good company after a great day out on the slopes.

See

The resort of See is an affordable base for discovering the renowned luxury resort of Ischgl. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 1000 meters. At the valley station of the Medrigjoch-bahn you can find a sports shop, a ski rental shop and a ski school. A few evenings a week it is possible to ski "by night" on the flood-lit piste or jump on a luge on the illuminated luge track. There is also a snow park in See and hikers can use the trails set out in the valley and the forests on the mountain. For something completely different we can recommend the small theatre in the village that stages a weekly show during the high season. Après-ski in See is restricted to the hotels and at "Toni". The village of Ischgl is located 15 kilometers down the road, and is renowned for having wild après-ski nights. It can be reached easily with the ski bus (approx. € 1 per return).

Silvretta Arena

With approximately 350 kilometres of slopes, the Silvretta Arena ski area is a paradise for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. The area consists of the Ischgl, Samnaun, Galtür, Kappl, and See villages, and spans both Austria and Switzerland. Most of the 41 ski lifts and beautiful slopes in the famous Ischgl-Samnaun area are located on northern slopes, above 2000-metres elevation. They are therefore very snow-sure. For snowboarders, Ischgl features a halfpipe and a fun park called Boarders-Paradise. Children and beginners can also take on the challenge there. For carving fans, a carving route has been made specifically for that. The Silvretta cross-country ski trail is approximately 48 kilometres long and connects the lovely ski villages of Ischgl and Galtür. Kappl and See are especially popular with families.

Ischgl

This car-free village can rightly be called one of the most popular ski villages in Austria. Nowadays, partygoers and ski enthusiasts alike know how to find their way to this fashionable village. Trendy après-ski bars such as Kuhstall, Schatzi, Niki's Stadl, and Fire + Ice make Ischgl the 'Ibiza of the Alps'. Every year, the opening of the ski season is heralded with a Top of the Mountains concert there, featuring amazing artists.

Kappl

The village of Kappl is located on the sunny side of the Paznaun Valley, at an altitude of approximately 1200 metres. ‘Kappl’ comes from the phrase 'ad Cappellum', referring to the many chapels in the valley. It is a quiet village with a friendly atmosphere, consisting of several neighbourhoods built against the mountainside. The cable car to the Dias ski area is located in the valley on the main road to Ischgl. Kappl has its own ski area with 40 kilometres of slopes.

See

See is an economical place to stay, close to the fashionable and popular Ischgl. This ski village is located at an altitude of approximately 1000 metres. A sports shop and ski school are located at the valley station of the Medrigjoch lift, where the valley pistes end.

Galtur

At an altitude of 1,584 metres, Galtür is one of the highest skiing villages in Austria and the highest in the Silvretta region. Due to its elevation, this village is very snow-sure. It was built in a traditional Tyrolean style that is more than 600 years old. The village is particularly child-friendly and is very popular with Austrian families. If you like to join in the après-ski fun, Galtür is the village for you. The roof is raised from 16:00 onwards there.

Silvretta Arena

  • Great spots for carving
  • Spans both Austria and Switzerland
  • Paradise for ski and snowboard enthusiasts
