Obertauern
Obertauern is a perched village in the Austrian Alps. The village is situated on 1740 meters. This is area snows a lot and you can often ski until late April. Obertauern is located in the middle of the ski slopes which is easily accessible. For apres ski Obertauern is a good choice. The village has a vibrant nightlife with cozy restaurants and pubs Obertauern is best known for his 'Around the world' round. You can make beautiful walks in the area. A must is the walk to the superior hotel at about 1797 meters altitude. You will be rewarded with stunning views over the whole area.
Obertauern
Obertauern's guaranteed snow and over 100 kilometers of slopes is perfect for lovers of après-ski. There is truly something for everyone. Obertauern has long been known for its 'Tauernrunde', a route which sees the whole ski area. This round can be made. There is a fun park and there is even a World Cup trail for cross-country skiers. There is also plenty to do for the walkers. Take the route to the superior hotel at 1797 meters altitude. Here you will find yourself in the middle of the ski area that has a great view. The après-ski in Obertauern is lively and spectacular celebrations are organized at the beginning and end of the season. The locals still talk today about the famous visit of the Beatles. In one part of Obertauern, the film 'Help' was filmed. Obertauern offers everything for a very successful winter holiday.

Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.
Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

The voltage is 230 volt.

UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.

You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

Discounts for 2023/2024:
Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2018 are free. Children born between 01/01/2005 - 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting your ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2019 are free. Children born between 01/01/2006 - 31/12/2018 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting your ski pass.

This equipment is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is particularly manoeuvrable, so it makes turning and braking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.
Silver
This is ideal equipment for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The equipment is manoeuvrable and suitable for cutting corners sharply. Even at high speeds, these skis provide great performance.
Gold
These skis and snowboards are made of high-quality material and are perfect for experienced skiers. They can also be used by skiers who have mastered parallel skiing. This comfortable equipment is suitable for all track types and snow conditions.
Diamond
These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
