Hotel Gotthard is located in the heart of Lech am Arlberg, a world-famous place that has retained its charming village character despite its popularity. The ski area, which is known for its great conditions, is easily accessible from the hotel via the Rüfikopf ski lift. With over 185 miles of slopes, there is plenty to discover here, for both the experienced and the less experienced skiing enthusiast.
This charming hotel has been managed by the Walch family for over 75 years, but it is certainly not old-fashioned. No, tradition and innovation go hand in hand here. Host Clemens and hostess Nicole will take care of everything you need. The stylish rooms have beautiful, rural décor and come fully equipped.
Need some relaxation after a long day on the slopes? Then a visit to the wellness centre is an absolute must. There, you will find all the ingredients to recharge your batteries, including a sauna and an indoor swimming pool. Prefer a relaxing massage? That's also possible. During your holiday, make sure to try the pastries from the hotel’s own bakery, the delicacies from the patisserie and, of course, the home-brewed beer.
The half board consists of:
- An extensive breakfast buffet, with fresh bread and other tasty specialties from the Walch family bakery.
- Dinner is served in the Gotthard stube.
The Comfort rooms are located in the annex of Hotel Gotthard. This annex is connected to the main building by a covered corridor.
Lech has been a popular ski holiday destination for years amongst the European jet set and several royal families. Despite its luxurious image, it has retained its character and family-friendly atmosphere. It is a beautiful, authentically alpine village in a fairytale setting, with plenty of snow to boot. There are many fantastic hotels to choose from there, and several high-standard restaurants. As a result, you can expect Lech to be a little more expensive than other resorts in Austria, but the quality of the local facilities speak for themselves.
Lech is part of the Ski Arlberg region, which connects the village to others such as St. Anton and Flirsch. This fantastic ski area is a hotspot for true ski fanatics and many travellers make their pilgrimage to it each winter. In this snow-sure area you will not only find challenging slopes and ski routes, but also cosmopolitan ski resorts and an exuberant après-ski scene. It is known for its guaranteed snow, ensuring a long ski season and great snow conditions on the slopes. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers can all enjoy the diverse slopes from early December up until mid-April.
If you are a beginner skier or snowboarder, Lech and Zürs are the perfect resorts for practising, whereas St. Anton offers more of a challenge. In Flirsch, you will find a ski lift for beginners and intermediate skiers that is particularly suitable for children. With the punctual local ski bus service, you can explore the ski area to your heart’s content. If you book one of Sunweb’s ski deals, your ski pass for the entire Ski Arlberg region will be included!
