Lech has been a popular destination for European jet setters and various royal families. Depsite its luxurious image the resort does not remains family friendly and traditional. It is a lovely, authentic mountain village in a magical snowy setting. There are many beautiful hotels and outstanding restaurants in Lech making it a more expensive village, in general.
However, if you are able to find good deal in an ordinary hotel, it remains affordable.
The village has a fantastic atmosphere, like a cozy winter wonderland with plenty to keep you busy. The famous Arlberg region is known for its snow-sure conditions as there is good snowfall every season. This guarantees a long season with perfect conditions. The ski area is great for all abilities, from beginners to advanced skiers. The ski area is normally open from mid-December to mid-April. See you on the pistes in Lech!

Opening times shops:
Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.
Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

The voltage is 230 volt.
Mobile telephone:
UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.
Travel documents:
You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

Ski passes for children born after 1/1/2016 are free. Children born between 1/1/2004 - 31/12/2015, and seniors born up to and including 31/12/1959, will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
You cannot book lessons in advance. You can arrange this yourself onsite.
