In Achenkirch, just a fifteen-minute walk away from Lake Achensee, is the beautiful Resort Achensee. It’s the perfect place for a holiday with the whole family. An indoor pool, a lovely children's play area, spacious rooms with 1 - 2 separate bedrooms… what more could you ask for?
This child-friendly complex is in a quiet and idyllic location. You will find several great shops and restaurants 1.5km away and the nearest ski lift is 1km away. A ski bus stops within walking distance of Resort Achensee, which can get you there in just a few minutes. End the day in style with a refreshing drink at the bar.

Location and surroundings
Achenkirch
Achenkirch lies at the foot of an impressive mountain. The place looks small, but it is not. Achenkirch has nearly 2000 inhabitants, it is also the largest village around the Achensee. The closest ski area is Christlum Alm, where two chairlifts and four lifts take you to a height of 1780 meters. After a day of skiing you can relax in one of the public health centers. In the evening, you definitely will not be bored, there have been plenty of restaurants and cafes.
Achensee
The Ski resort of Achensee is located in beautiful surroundings and consists of the villages Maurach, Pertisau, Eben and Achenkirch. The villages are located around the lake and together form the resort. This resort has good nightlife and some great pistes! So, for both true ski fanatics and those more interested in the apres-ski, there is plenty to enjoy here.
There are also many cross country tracks for those interested! On the sunny slopes of the Zwölferkopf at Pertisau there is 12 km (8 ml) of pistes varying in difficulty and in the Rofan area near Maurach there is another 14 km (9 ml) of pistes waiting to be used. Thanks to the ski bus connections it is also easy to access both areas and show off your skills on the different slopes! You will have no time to get bored here!

Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

The voltage is 230 volt.

UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.

You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire
You can see the surcharges and discounts for extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. If a child or senior discount applies, this will be shown in step 2 (price overview).
Discounts for 2024/2025:
Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2019 are free. Children born between 01/01/2006 - 31/12/2018 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting your ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
You cannot book ski equipment in advance. You can arrange this yourself onsite.
