The ski lift can also be found nearby, so you can get on the slopes right away each morning.

Pertisau

The charming Pertisau, with about 700 inhabitants, is the smallest village of the Achensee. For a winter holiday with the family you've come to the right place. Because Pertisau is not on the main road, there is little traffic and you can relax and enjoy a holiday peacefully. The lift of the Karwendelbahn in Pertisau is a great starting point for hikers and skiers. There are beautiful winter hiking paths and many kilometers of groomed trails and snowy. You take a snowshoe hike to a scenic route of three hours is plotted which starts at the ski lift. There are various shops and restaurants and a few bars live in the brewery in the village. The 1.2 km long toboggan run and ice rink provide variety in your active program, even for evening. Come this winter and join in the magnificent views of the area around the Achensee!

Achensee

The Ski resort of Achensee is located in beautiful surroundings and consists of the villages Maurach, Pertisau, Eben and Achenkirch. The villages are located around the lake and together form the resort. This resort has good nightlife and some great pistes! So, for both true ski fanatics and those more interested in the apres-ski, there is plenty to enjoy here.

There are also many cross country tracks for those interested! On the sunny slopes of the Zwölferkopf at Pertisau there is 12 km (8 ml) of pistes varying in difficulty and in the Rofan area near Maurach there is another 14 km (9 ml) of pistes waiting to be used. Thanks to the ski bus connections it is also easy to access both areas and show off your skills on the different slopes! You will have no time to get bored here!

Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.

Travelling by car:

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Voltage:

The voltage is 230 volt.

Mobile telephone:

UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.

Travel documents:

You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.

Lift pass, lessons and ski/board hire

A Karwendel/Pertisau ski pass is included in the tour price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for extending your ski pass or no ski pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. Ski passes for children born after 01/01/2017 are free. Children born between 01/01/2008 - 31/12/2016 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting your ski pass.

Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.

You cannot book ski equipment in advance. You can arrange this yourself onsite.
