Les Orres

Les Orres is a warm and welcoming ski resort located in the southern Alps. The ski area features 9 green, 5 blue, 17 red, and 5 black runs, offering something for every level of skier. The village was built in the 1970s, and although you’ll find some high-rise buildings, the extensive use of wood and natural materials gives the resort a charming and cozy atmosphere. Most of the shops and restaurants are located around the vibrant village square, where many of the slopes also end — making it the lively heart of the resort.

Tip: The Mazelière route is highly recommended for ski touring (ski de randonnée).

Les Orres is known for being very family-friendly. In addition to daycare facilities, there are plenty of activities and entertainment options for children. Adults can relax with a drink on one of the sunny terraces, or — for those seeking a bit more excitement — try Europe’s longest toboggan run! There’s fun for everyone in Les Orres.

A recent addition to the resort is the Pôle Sport Innovation – a modern 1,100 m² indoor sports complex featuring climbing walls, fitness equipment, VR simulators, wellness facilities, and even an indoor ski carpet.

If you’d like to explore beyond Les Orres, the La Forêt Blanche ski area, which includes the villages of Risoul and Vars, is less than an hour’s drive away. In Risoul, you’ll find lively après-ski at the Yeti Bar — perfect for a fun day trip!

Please note: The La Forêt Blanche ski pass is not included and must be purchased on-site.

Les Orres

  • Ideal destination for families
  • Cosy centre with small bars
  • The longest toboggan run in Europe!

Les Orres Winter Sports – Wonderful Winter Fun in the Sun

The Les Orres ski area is one of the southernmost resorts in the Alps, making it a wonderfully sunny destination, with around 300 days of sunshine per year! Despite the abundant sun, snow conditions remain excellent, thanks in part to the extensive network of snow cannons covering much of the area. Les Orres is particularly popular with families with children, and the resort is thoughtfully designed with them in mind. All of the easy slopes end at the charming village square of Les Orres, where plenty of activities are organized for children even when the weather isn’t ideal. In addition to being family-friendly, the resort also has a lot to offer freestylers and snowboarders. It’s well known for its excellent off-piste terrain and multiple fun parks, providing excitement for all levels of riders.

Sports and Thrills

There’s plenty to do after skiing, too! Try a thrilling ride on the 1.5-kilometer toboggan run, or, if you prefer something a little more relaxed, hop on a dog sled and enjoy a beautiful ride through the snowy landscape. You can also take to the skies and admire the area from above while paragliding. For more excitement, try airboarding, join the Snake Gliss, or go for a snowmobile ride. A recent addition to Les Orres is the Pôle Sport Innovation – a modern 1,100 m² indoor sports center featuring climbing walls, fitness equipment, VR simulators, wellness facilities, and even an indoor ski carpet.
