Nestled in between the mountains, the picturesque village of Oberndorf is known for its warm hospitality. Oberndorf is a small village located at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. Although Oberndorf is considerably quieter than the nearby St Johann in Tirol, there is still plenty to keep you entertained here. There are numerous lively restaurants, bars and even a nightclub. Oberndorf is also a good option in terms of skiing. Setting out from the village you can directly access the entire resort with more than 60 kilometers of pistes! Oberndorf is an all round ski resort worthy of your attention.

3 Länder Freizeit-Arena

The ski region of St. Johann in Tirol-Oberndorf was formerly known as Schneewinkel. This region consists of a number of smaller destinations on the borders of Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria.

The area has an extensive collection of snow cannons, so even towards the end of the season you can enjoy skiing here. Travelling by car:

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

The lift pass for children born after 1-1-2013 is free. Children born between 1-1-2000 and 31-12-2012 During the booking process you will be informed of the days for which the lift pass is valid. If you wish to use lift pass on a different day than indicated in the booking process, you must contact our contact centre by telephone. It is not possible to change the lift pass once in the Alps.

An extension of the lift pass can often be booked as an extra during the booking process.


Once in the Alps, you have to pay the deposit of approximately € , -. You will receive this amount back once you hand in your lift pass back.
