Résidence 3 Vallées Orelle is a modern residential complex in the village of Orelle. This cozy village situated in the vast Trois Vallées area, and is home to a number of different runs. The residence is located 2 kilometers from the lift, but the shuttle will take you there in the morning to go.
The apartments are comfortable and modern. Have you been a little too enthusiastic on the slopes? Enjoy a relaxing swim in the heated pool, or try out the sauna or jacuzzi.

Skiing in Val Thorens
Val Thorens is the highest located French ski resort and the city center is at an altitude of 2300 metres! From here there are many ski lifts to even higher located slopes. The village of Val Thorens is located in the ski resort with the same name, Val Thorens. Together with the ski areas Les Menuires, Méribel and La Vallée de Courchevel, Les Trois Vallées is one of the largest contiguous ski areas in the world. Overlooking several glaciers, the Val Thorens ski area offers a variety of routes so that skiers of all levels can enjoy this beautiful area.
Lift pass
When you book a ski trip to Val Thorens including a lift pass for Val Thorens, you can choose to extend it to the ski area Les Trois Vallées. For the not so advanced skier, a lift pass to Val Thorens is usually enough.
For those who want to discover more and make long journeys, it is best to buy a lift pass for the entire Trois Vallées area. Les Trois Vallées is the largest adjacent ski area in the world. With 185 lifts and 600 kilometers of beautiful slopes, you will go on a true journey of discovery here. We recommend that you choose to extend your lift pass already when booking, as you will pay significantly more for it in Val Thorens. (Please note that no lift passes for Trois Vallées are sold during the early or late season).
Lots of activities beyond skiing
If you are tired of the long skis or your snowboard, then you can choose between one of the many other activities that the ski area has to offer. How about discovering different hiking trails, a helicopter flight, soaring at 100 km / h on the zipline "La Tyrolienne" high above the slopes or mountain biking over the snow?

A UK mobile phone should work in France. The setup for this may differ per provider, so it is best to inquire about this before hand.
Safety on the slopes:
In France, wearing a helmet is not mandatory but recommended (especially for children). In ski classes (for all ages), it is often compulsory.

You must be in possession of a valid passport in order to travel to France.
Food and Drinks:
Cheese, croissants, baguettes and wine! It is possible to drink tap water.
Opening hours:
As a general rule, the shops are open on Monday/Friday from 09:00 to 19:00. However, some shops may close over lunchtime. On Sunday and Monday, a selection of shops are closed. Some supermarkets are open on Sunday mornings.

Most motorways in France require you to pay a toll fee. The Pas Piccolo San Bernardo is closed the whole winter (November - June). Always check the locat weather reports before departing.
In some cities and towns it is obligaroty to have a "environmentsl sticker". It is not possible to buy these stickers en route. You will have to order them online before you leave home. French authorities advise you to print out the form and the confirmation of the sticker if it does not arrive at your home in time. You can find the form on:

The ski pass for children up to and including 4 years old is free. Children from 5 - 12 years old, and seniors from 65 - 74 years old, will receive a discount on the ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem the ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of the ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further into the booking steps. The discount for “no ski pass” can also be found in the booking process.
