Skiing in Les Carroz d'Araches

About Les Carroz d'Araches

Les Carroz d’Araches was originally built as a farming village. It is located at an altitude of 1400m in the Le Grand Massif ski area. Over the years the village has modernized, without losing any of its authentic character. Many of the accommodation options that are available are renovated chalets and converted farm houses.

Skiing in Les Carroz d’Araches

Les Carroz d’Araches is part of the extensive Les Grand Massif ski area. Overall this area has over 265km of ski slopes. It also includes the famous French resorts of Flaine, Morillon and Samoëns. It is a perfect area for beginner to intermediate skiers/snowboarders. The highest point of Les Grand Massif is approximately 2500m, making it a fairly snow sure destination through the whole of the winter season.

The resort

Around the central square there is a range of fantastic bars and restaurants. The village is very popular with families, so the après-ski scene is quite limited. One night time activity that is definitely worth checking out is the night skiing on the Les Timalets slopes. There are plenty of activities available for non skiers too, including paragliding, snowmobiling, ice skating, weekly shopping markets and a cinema.

Sunweb has a great range of different ski packages available in Les Carroz. From all inclusive luxurious hotels to simple cheap apartments. There are packages to suit all groups.
