Big slopes, big energy – welcome to Alpe d’Huez!

Perched at 1,860 metres, Alpe d’Huez is one of France’s top winter sports resorts – and it’s easy to see why. Once a quiet mountain village for the elite, it’s now a buzzing hotspot with something for everyone, both on and off the slopes. With lifts right around the village, the entire Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski area is at your feet – making it a dream for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Wander through the well-organised and lively town centre, where you’ll find stylish apartments, cosy cafés, local shops, and plenty of places to tuck into a hearty mountain meal. There’s always something going on – boredom doesn’t stand a chance here! Done skiing? The fun’s far from over. Whether it’s a relaxing dinner, a visit to the Palais des Sports (free with your ski pass!), or dancing till late, Alpe d’Huez delivers. And for true party lovers, the legendary Moosebar is the place to be. Great tunes, good vibes, and unforgettable après-ski moments – but arrive early, it fills up fast!

Flemish Weeks

The Flemish Weeks will take place from April 1st to 15th, 2023, in Tignes, la Plagne, Alpe d’Huez, and Arc 2000. This event is packed with fun for all ages and brings a touch of home to France. Sample the best local food, such as raclette or French cheese, with a delicious (and familiar) beer like Gruut or Anosteké. Pancakes and crêpes will also be available, a favorite with the little ones. Throughout the day, there are fun games for the whole family. Sing your heart out with karaoke or compete in a Kahoot quiz. Nothing ventured, nothing gained…

During these weeks, we've thought of everything. There's even childcare available for children aged 4 to 12, supervised by bilingual/Dutch-speaking staff. In the evenings, there's always Flemish entertainment, and throughout the week, there's delicious catering featuring Savoyard specialties, a French wine tasting, and a bar with a Flemish twist. Cheers!
