Selections Hotel Gaspingerhof is a traditional accommodation nestled in the picturesque scenery of the Zillertal Arena. It is right in the heart of the centre, and only 50m from the ski lift. The privately run houses offers modern conveniences and an attentive team.
This accommodation also has a spa and fitness area, a comfy lobby with a fireplace, a large wine cellar and a fantastic restaurant. The spacious rooms combine a perfect blend of Tyrolean style and modern elegance. It is also possible to ski back to the hotel. The spa and water world “1001 Nights” was designed in oriental style. Here you can find a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, Roman steam bath and cold water pool. If you still have any energy left after all this, you can swim in the water world of Gaspingerhof in the indoor or outdoor pool.
The renowned kitchen team will spoil you every day with a very special treat. In addition to international specialties, you will also get to know the typical regional cuisine. Great importance is placed on the origin and quality of the ingredients. They use mainly regional products from local farmers.
The half board consists of:

Children up to 11 years can use the children's menu. Do they also want the normal menu? Then you pay 10, - extra per person, per day.

One of the highest ski resorts in the Zillertal
Ski holidays in Gerlos are among one of the most popular destinations in Austria for British winter holiday goers, and not without good reason. Skiing in Gerlos means skiing in one of the highest places in the Zillertal that offers, not only a magnificent après-ski but also an unrivalled snow-sure ski area.
There are many teeming bars and clubs including Little London, Cin Cin, Luigi’s Turbobar and the popular Country Club making a ski holiday in Gerlos more than just about the slopes. Due to all of the restaurants, the quaint shops and sports facilities including tennis courts, a squash centre and an ice rink, there is something to keep you busy at all times of the day. There are also 30km of hiking routes, 12km of cross-country trails and a half-pipe and fun park for snowboarders and freestyle skiing in Gerlos.
The pinnacle of the a ski holiday in Gerlos comes in the form of the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal. You ascend the Gerlossteinbahn to the top of the run at 1650m high and then the fun begins. Plus, the toboggan run is heavily lit until 1am, meaning you’ll be able to experience it pretty much all day.
The Zillertal Arena
The Zillertal Arena is a beautiful winter sports area with excellent transport links making it easy to travel from village to village and explore the entire area. There is something for everyone when on a ski holiday in the Zillertal Arena with a range of slopes with different difficulty levels.
Dorfbahn
The modern Dorfbahn was opened in 2016 and has come to improve the overall experience for holiday goers on a ski holiday in Gerlos. Waiting in line at the Isskogel just outside of town has become a thing of the past due to the huge capacity of the new ski lift. The three-storey valley station is equipped with a sports shop, ski rental shop, a modern and comfortable ski depot where you can store your skis overnight and a parking garage for over 200 cars.

Tipping:
It is customary in Austria to tip between 5% and 10% in bars and restaurants.

Austria is known for its Vienna Schnitzels and Glühwein. Tap water is safe for drinking.
Opening times shops:
Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.
Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

The voltage is 230 volt.
Mobile telephone:
UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.
Travel documents:
You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.
You will fly with EasyJet or Jet2 to Innsbruck. This flight takes approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes. Meals and drinks are not included during the flight.

Ski passes for children born after 1/1/2018 are free. Children born between 1/1/2005 and 31/12/2017 will receive a discount on their ski pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the ski pass.
Any surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied locally. It is not possible to redeem your ski pass on another day onsite. An extension of your ski pass can often be booked as an extra; you will find the price for this further in the booking process. A discount for “no ski pass” can also be found during the booking process.
Bronze
This material is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. This material is particularly agile, so it makes turning and breaking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.
Silver
This is ideal material for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The material is agile, but also suitable to cut corners sharp. Even at high speeds these skis provide great performance.
Gold
These skis and snowboards are made of high quality material, and are perfect for experienced skiers. This comfortable material is suitable on all track types and snow conditions.
Diamond
These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology, and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
TIP: Tell our rental partner your exact requirements (eg off piste skiing) so they can help you select the right material.
NOTE: A helmet is not included in this package. You can choose to bring your own, or rent one locally if available.
