Alpbachtal

Big fun in the heart of Tyrol!

With 114 km of slopes and 45 lifts, Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau is a true gem for winter sports lovers. Since 2012, the Schatzberg has been linked to the Alpbachtal by an 8-person gondola, creating one of Tyrol’s largest and most exciting ski areas. Whether you're just starting out, taking it easy, or chasing a thrill, there's a perfect slope waiting for you. Cruise down wide, scenic runs, test your speed on deep snow trails, or show off your skills in one of the snowboard parks.

This area is a hit with families and beginners, thanks to gentle slopes, top-notch childcare, and snow playgrounds that little ones love. And when the sun goes down, the fun keeps going — with night skiing on Reither Kogel and magical torchlight hikes through the snow. Fancy something different? Try natural toboggan runs, fun parks, or take a ride on the thrilling Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser alpine coaster.
Alpbachtal

This friendly ski area is split into two lovely sections: Wiedersberger Horn and Reither Kogel. The Wiedersberger Horn, the larger of the two, is easy to reach from Alpbach or Inneralpbach. It’s packed with slopes for all levels — and the view from the mountain hut up top? Absolutely breathtaking. Looking for family-friendly fun? Head to Reither Kogel from Reith im Alpbachtal. It’s perfect for beginners and little adventurers — and don’t miss the 8 km toboggan run for a real winter thrill! Take in panoramic mountain views from the new 360° observation tower, perched at 2,030 metres. Built entirely of wood and shingled in true Alpbach style, it’s a must-see. Kids will love the new KidsCross Alpbachtal on the Wiedersberger Horn — a fun-packed course with twists, turns, and even a snow tunnel! For the youngest visitors, there’s Kinderland Juppi-Do, a cheerful learning area designed just for them.

Wildschönau

Tucked away on the edge of the Kitzbühel Alps, the peaceful Wildschönau region is made up of four charming villages: Niederau, Oberau, Mühltal-Thierbach and Auffach.

Hop on the Markbachjoch gondola in Niederau and glide up to 1,500 metres, or reach 1,900 metres from Auffach via the Schatzberg – where breathtaking views and brilliant skiing await. Fancy a long run? You’re in luck – Wildschönau is home to the longest piste in the Kitzbühel Alps, stretching a full 7 kilometres.

After a day on the slopes, head to the lively Bobo-Heustadl bar for drinks and dancing right by the lift station. For a change of pace, explore Wildschönau’s quirky museums – from traditional farming life to the fascinating world of wood at the Erste Tiroler Holzmuseum. Enjoy romantic sleigh rides, peaceful snowshoe hikes, or zoom down award-winning natural toboggan runs. Feeling adventurous? Climb aboard a snow groomer and ride along as co-pilot! Wildschönau’s all about protecting its mountain paradise – with eco-friendly lifts, EV charging stations, and local businesses carrying the Austrian Eco-label.
