Skiing in Kronplatz

About Kronplatz

Kronplatz: Versatile Skiing in the Dolomites

Kronplatz is one of Italy’s most versatile and beloved ski resorts. The distinctive ‘Glatzkopf’ forms the heart of the area, surrounded by charming villages such as Bruneck (Brunico), Olang (Valdaora) and Sankt Lorenzen. From the broad, treeless summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Dolomites – a sight that continues to surprise, day after day.

With 125 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes, Kronplatz is an ideal destination for both beginners and experienced winter sports enthusiasts. Long, gentle blue runs make it perfect for relaxed skiing, while more challenging slopes such as the Silvester run and Pre da Peres add an extra dose of excitement. Families feel right at home here thanks to the well-organised layout and numerous children’s areas. And with no fewer than 280 kilometres of cross-country ski trails in the surrounding region, there is plenty for cross-country skiers to explore as well.

Lifts and slopes in Kronplatz

Kronplatz continues to evolve with modern lifts and new slopes, adding even more comfort and variety on the mountain. One of the highlights is the new, state‑of‑the‑art 10‑person gondola from Reischach to the summit. The lift features a renovated lower intermediate station that connects directly to a new ski slope, making both your ascent and descent smoother and more comfortable.

On the Olang side, a new 8‑person chairlift – the Dolomiti lift – has been added. This modern lift ensures a smooth flow and takes you to a new, wide slope that is perfect for relaxed descents. In addition, the ski area has been expanded with several new slopes and connections, making the offering even more varied and allowing you to easily explore new routes throughout your ski day.

Skiing with the Dolomiti Superski ski pass

What makes Kronplatz particularly attractive is that it is included in the Dolomiti Superski pass. This gives you the freedom to explore many other ski areas in the region as well. Looking for long ski tours and vast, interconnected slopes? Then the impressive Val di Fassa is well worth a visit. Or choose a quieter, more compact ski area such as Obereggen–Latemar, where a relaxed atmosphere and modern lifts await.

Enjoy South Tyrolean Hospitality

After an active day on the slopes, you can fully immerse yourself in South Tyrolean hospitality. In restaurants and hotels, you’ll taste the perfect blend of Italian and Alpine cuisine, with refined dishes and excellent local wines. This makes Kronplatz not only a paradise on the slopes, but also a destination to truly enjoy off the slopes.
