Arabba

At an altitude of 1600m, Arabba is apart of the mighty Dolomites, in the province of Belluno. It is located at the foot of Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo. It is a relatively quiet village with a few shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. This ski area is perfect for advanced skier/snowboards as it has direct access to Sella Ronda and the many black and red slopes in this area. Along the slopes there are many traditional huts to enjoy a snack and a drink. From this area it is also possible to reach Canazei in Val di Fassa, and Selva in the Val Gardena area. From the same lift it is also possible to ski over the fairly manageable blue slopes via the Passo Campolongo towards Corvara. On the other side of Arabba, the lifts give you access to Porta Vescovo Marmolada glacier.

For non skiers there are plenty of fun activities too. There is an ice rink, dog sledding, helicopter rides, ten pin bowling and snow mobile rides. Sunweb has the best range of ski packages in Arabba. From all inclusive hotels to simple apartments, there are options to suit all groups and budgets.

Dolomiti Superski

Twelve ski resorts, all under one ski pass: Dolomiti Superski! The breathtaking mountain landscape of the Italian Dolomites offers an incredible range of slopes. With the Dolomiti Superski pass, you gain access to around 1,200 kilometres of pistes and no fewer than 450 ski lifts — more than enough to keep even the most experienced winter sports enthusiasts entertained.

With just one pass, you can explore a wide variety of ski areas, including Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Arabba–Marmolada, Alta Badia, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Kronplatz, Sextner Dolomiten, Valle di Fiemme, San Martino di Castrozza, Valle Isarco, Trevalli-Moena and Civetta.

The legendary Sella Ronda connects four of these ski resorts (Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Alta Badia and Arabba–Marmolada). This spectacular ski circuit of around 40 kilometres takes you through a diverse mountain landscape in approximately 5–6 hours.  Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding, it’s an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Dolomites.

Cross-country skiers will also feel at home here. Across the region, you’ll find more than 1,000 kilometres of trails. Popular routes include the scenic trail from Rautal to Pederti and the beautiful tracks in the Gsieser and Antholzertal valleys.

Arabba – Marmolada

Arabba–Marmolada is a snow-sure ski area with stunning views of the Sella Massif and the Marmolada glacier — the highest peak in the Dolomites.  The village of Arabba is located between the mountain passes Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo and lies directly on the famous Sella Ronda. The ski area is known for its variety and is particularly suited to more experienced skiers and snowboarders. You’ll find challenging red and black runs, excellent snow conditions and great opportunities for off-piste skiing. A highlight is the area around Porta Vescovo, where demanding slopes and impressive views come together. From Arabba, you can also head towards the Marmolada glacier via Passo Fedaia, where you can experience high-altitude skiing and some of the most spectacular descents in the Dolomites. The famous “Bellunese” run, for example, stretches for around 12 kilometres from the glacier down into the valley.

Prefer a more relaxed day? Then the sunny slopes around Passo Campolongo are a great option. Intermediate skiers should also not miss the Sella Ronda, which can easily be started from Arabba and completed as a full-day tour around the Sella Massif.

Arabba–Marmolada offers excellent snow reliability thanks to its altitude and glacier access. With the Dolomiti Superski pass, you can make full use of the extensive lift network and easily connect to neighbouring ski areas such as Val di Fassa and Alta Badia.
