Résidence Les Bergers is situated in a beautiful, quiet location in an elevated part of the resort. With a little luck, you will have a beautiful view from your apartment too. The nearest chairlift is just 300 metres away.
The apartments all have comfortable and modern furnishings. Just a short distance from the complex, you will find a bakery, a mini supermarket, and several great restaurants. Want to discover the centre of St. Sorlin? Then it is best to take the free ski bus, which will get you there within just a few minutes. Toes feeling a little numb after a day of fun on the slopes? No problem! Take a swim in the complex’s heated indoor swimming pool and you’ll quickly warm up again.
Are you looking for a resort with more charm than many of the large modern ski areas? We recommend Sorlin d’Arves. This resort is located at the foot of the Col de la Croix de Fer, and is an authentic French mountain village with a great traditional atmosphere. In recent years it has been updated with new lifts, hotels and bars, whilst still maintaining its charm. It has become increasingly more popular with skiing enthusiasts.
St. Sorlin d’Arves is part of the large Les Sybelles ski area. This also includes the resorts La Toussuire, Le Corbier and St.Jean d’Arves. The area has over 310km of ski slopes, comprised mostly of red and blue runs. This means that it is well suited for intermediate skier/snowboarders. For cross country skiers there is also around 42km of different trails.
There are plenty of options here for non skiers too. The two bars Le Barock and Saint S’O are well known for their great après ski atmosphere. There is also a spa and the opportunity to go on snow shoe walks.
The vast resort of Les Sybelles is gaining in popularity with skiers and snowboarders. The excellent variety of options provided in this resort with 310 km (193 ml) of pistes justify its popularity.
The ski area consists of the villages of Le Corbier, St. Jean d'Arves, Les Bottières, La Toussuire, St. Sorlin d'Arves and St. Colomban des Villards. This large and diverse area has plenty of pistes for novices as well as advanced skiers and snowboarders. For the very advanced skiers and snowboarders there are plenty of black piste descents and the real fanatics can conquer the off piste trails! However we strongly advise you to do this in the company of an experienced guide.
The most challenging descents can be found in the resort of St. Sorlin d'Arves. Snowboarders and freestyle skiers can head for the snow parks in le Corbier and La Toussuire. The lift pass for the entire area is included in the price of the holiday.
Attention: the 6-day skipass Les Sybelles is included. If you book before 1st of October 2013, you will get the 7th day for free.
