Hotel Das Alpenwelt Resort in Königsleiten is ideally located on the sunny plateau, right next to the gondola lift. The lift will take you quickly to the Zillertal Arena ski area. This beautiful Excellent hotel consists of two connected buildings and features a beautiful bar and a unique large sun terrace with beautiful views over the snow-capped mountains.

All rooms and suites are modern and very attractively furnished, but also exude warmth through the use of beautiful natural materials. In addition, they are equipped with extremely comfortable beds with lovely thick duvets, a modern bathroom and of course luxurious bathrobes for the use of the spa.

As a guest you have direct access from the hotel to the beautiful wellness area of Hotel Das Alpenwelt. In addition to the largest indoor pool in the region with a panoramic view of the slopes, you will also find various saunas and a wonderful relaxation area here.

The little ones have also been thought of at Hotel Das Alpenwelt Resort; there is an extensive entertainment program for them. Full day care is available from Sunday to Friday for children from 1 years old. This way everyone can enjoy themselves during the holidays! In addition, Das Alpenwelt has a great indoor playground, various play rooms and a separate aqua park with water playground in the pool.

Königsleiten

The romantic ski resort of Königsleiten is located at a height of 1600m. The high altitude makes it a great ski holiday destination, as it is fairly snow sure through the entire winter season. In addition to this, most of the accommodations are ski in/ski out. Königsleiten is the highest ski village in the Zillertal Arena. In one day you can ski via Gerlos to Zell am Ziller.

Skiing in Königsleiten

With the full Zillertal Superskipass you also have access to the famous resorts Mayrhofen, Zell am Ziller, Stumm, Finkenburg, Fügen and more. There is a free ski bus that runs every day and takes you all around the Zillertal Valley. The Zillertal Area has over 165km of ski slopes. There is 114km of red pistes, making this an ideal choice for average – advanced skiers.

The resort

Königsleiten is a great ski holiday choice for cross country skiers. There is a high altitude trail that is located at a height of 2315m. For non skiers there are also plenty of great options. Just 10km away at the resort of Wald there is an extensive spa called the Kristallbad. This features an indoor pool, outdoor pool, covered slide and sauna. There is also a child friendly toboggan run here. Once a week there is even the option to do moonlight tobogganing. Party goers will be satisfied with the number of great après bars available.

Zillertal Arena

The Zillertal Arena is a beautiful region which offers skiers and snowboarders some lovely routes that can take you from village to village. The Zillertal Arena has something to offer everyone. There are currently 234 snow canons, so the slopes are covered all season. Skiers can enjoy the many pisted runs while free-riders can opt to take on the deep snow or improve their stunts in the half pipe or the snow park! Cross country skiers can use the 53 km (33 ml) of cross country tracks, there are beautiful hiking trails and you can even sledge in the evening on an flood-lit track.

From the sun terrace of Larmachalm in Königsleiten you have a fantastic view of the ski resort of Gerlosplatte. These two parts of the Zillertal Arena are connected to each other by a four person chair lift. The modern eight person cable car, the Isskogelbahn, provides a perfect connection with the rest of the Zillertal Arena.

With your Zillertal lift pass you can also ski in the other resorts in the Zillertal like the Mayrhofen and Fügen. The glacier is also included in the lift pass.

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

Lift pass, lessons and material

A Zillertal Superski lift pass is included in the tour price.

You can see the surcharges and discounts for, for example, extending your lift pass or no lift pass in step 1 (preferences) of the booking process. Discounts 2022/2023:

The lift pass for children born after 1/1/2017 is free. Children born between 1/1/2004 and 31/12/2016 receive a discount on the lift pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum. Identification is required when collecting the lift pass.

The surcharges and discounts are only valid upon booking. Other rates are applied on location. It is not possible to redeem the lift pass on another day on site. An extension of the lift pass is usually possible; you will find the price for this in the further course of the booking steps. The discount for “no lift pass” can also be found in the booking process.

Lessons can be specified directly when booking. When you stay at Apartments Haus Tyrol, it is only possible to book lessons on site. See our FAQ  for more information about classes.

Bronze

This material is ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. This material is particularly agile, so it makes turning and breaking easy. Parallel skiing is also possible with these skis.

Silver

This is ideal material for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The material is agile, but also suitable to cut corners sharp. Even at high speeds these skis provide great performance.

Gold

These skis and snowboards are made of high quality material, and are perfect for experienced skiers. This comfortable material is suitable on all track types and snow conditions.

Diamond

These are high performance skis and snowboards with the latest technology, and are suitable for the most experienced skiers.
