Sporthotel Ellmau is a beautiful hotel in the centre of Ellmau and located right next to the ski lift in the popular Wilder Kaiser-Brixental ski area. Ellmau is a lively winter resort located at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. There are plenty of excellent pistes as well as fine après ski options in the many bars in Ellmau. If you want to stay active off the pistes you can always head to the sports centre. Here you will find an indoor swimming pool, a heated outdoor pool, slides, various saunas and a beauty parlour. You can also test your ice skating skills in Elmau´s ice rink, hike on some of the 50 kilometers of hiking trails, experience the thrill of racing down an flood-lit sleighing track at night or venture into the snow tubing arena. There are also plenty of very good restaurants in Ellmau as well. There is a beautiful restaurant at the top of the Hartkaiserbahn where you can enjoy a meal and the stupendous panoramic views over the vast Wilder Kaiser region.

Shops are usually open from Monday until Friday from 09.00 AM to 18.00 PM (some shops close during the afternoon). Most shops are closed on Sunday.
Travelling by car:
Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.
The voltage is 230 volt.
UK mobile phones work in Austria as well.
You need to be in the possession of a valid passport to travel to Austria.
You fly with easyJet or Jet2 to Innsbruck. This flight takes approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes. Meals and drinks are not included during the flight.

In step 1 of the booking process, it is indicated which days the lift pass is valid for (eg Sunday to Friday). If you would like the ski pass to start on a different day than shown in the booking steps, you must contact our contact centre by telephone. The booking can then be adjusted.
On destination, it is not possible to change the lift pass start date to another day. An extension of the lift pass can often be booked for an extra surcharge; the price for this can be found in step 1 of the booking process. The discount for "no ski pass" can also be found in the booking process.
The ski pass for children born from 1/1/2016 is free. Children born between 1/1/2003 and 31/12/2015 receive a discount on the ski pass. You will find these discounts in step 2 of the booking process.
Deposit: You must pay the deposit of approximately € 2 on site. You will receive this amount back when you return your pass.
The above surcharges and discounts are only valid when booking through Sunweb. At the destinations, other rates may apply.
Family weeks Wilder Kaiser-Brixental
All children born between 1/1/2007 and 31/12/2016 receive a free lift pass if:
- A parent buys a lift pass of at least three days.
- The entire duration of the lift pass falls within the period: 8/12/22 - 16/12/22 or 18/3/23 - 10/4/23.
In the booking steps, you must then choose “no lift pass” for the children. The free pass for the children can be picked up on site upon presentation of a voucher for the parents and proof of identity.

Please Note: If you have booked a short-stay then it is not possible to book lessons through us. You can arrange this at the destination.
The ski lessons start on Sundays.

Beginners: Select beginners if you have never skied before.
Average: Can you already turn and break? Chose average lessons.
Advanced: Can you already ski well yet wish to improve your technique? Opt for advanced.
