The half board consists of:
- 7x breakfast
- 6x dinner
The restaurant is closed on Monday evenings. On Monday afternoon there is only a snack available from the buffet. To compensate for that evening's dinner, you will receive a credit of 15 euros (for guests 11 years old and over) or 10 euros (for guests 2 - 10 years old) off your hotel bill.
Gaschurn is a picturesque place on the southern side of the Montafon. Over the years, the villages of Gaschurn and Partenen have grown together, and since then both are usually mentioned in the same breath. However, the village has retained its authentic appearance. The general price level is also a lot lower than in many other Austrian ski areas. This makes this area especially attractive for families with children. You will also find the typical Austrian atmosphere on the slopes here: a lot of excellent live music is played on the large sun terraces of the mountain restaurants.
From Gaschurn, there is a cable car connection to the Silvretta Montafon ski area. This is a stunning ski area, where both experienced winter sports enthusiasts and beginners can enjoy themselves.
Silvretta Montafon is located in the south of the popular Vorarlberg region and is one of the largest ski areas in the area. There are several separate mountains, which you can ski on with just one ski pass.
Silvretta Montafon
There is a wide range of beautiful slopes available for both beginners and advanced skiers. Thanks to its high location (1423m), Gargellen is one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Austria.
Gaschurn is a village on the southern side of the Montafon. This is an excellent destination for families with children. St. Gallenkirch is a quiet but pleasant village that lies between the mountains; from there you can reach several ski areas.
Ski lifts and slopes for miles
With more than 60 ski lifts and over 135 miles of well-maintained slopes, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy here. There are also wide and easy slopes, which are perfect for beginners. For the hiking enthusiast, there are more than 60 miles of cross-country skiing trails, including three high-altitude trails, and over 180 miles of hiking trails. Montafon has more than enough to offer for every type of winter sports enthusiast. Most villages are located near the slopes and have a cheerful atmosphere; live music can often be heard. There are also 10 ski schools, including a kindergarten and a children's ski school. There are also several childcare centres, so for a fun family holiday you have come to the right place.
Hotels and apartments
Silvretta Montafon is an excellent destination to stay in Austria. General costs there are somewhat lower, which is of course great for large groups and families. In this area you will find more than enough hotels and apartments, so there is something for everyone. If you like to be close to the slopes, be wary of where you book. Not all accommodations are close to the slopes. The villages in this area are generally quiet but charming. This is not the area to be partying until dawn in, but it is perfect for those who would love a peaceful holiday in the mountains.
Après ski
The après-ski in this region is not as lively as in other places in Austria. If you still want to have a drink, it is best to do so in the village of Gaschurn. There are a number of cafés and clubs there, where you can socialise after a long day on the slopes. The après-ski here can be compared with the après-ski in Germany.
