Mallnitz

The village of Mallnitz is nestled in between the mountains of the Höhe Tauern at an altitude of 1200 meters. This is a great ski resort with good snow conditions and plenty of entertainment options. The combination of wide, peaceful and some challenging pistes offers lots of variety.

If you feel like doing something different for a day, the Bios National Park Center is highly recommended. This centre provides interesting information about living in the Alps by means of offering guided tours through the National Park of Hohe Tauern.

There are plenty of sporting options beyond the pistes as well. Why not consider an afternoon climbing on a climbing wall, snow rafting down the mountain or enjoy a spectacular descent on the 5 kilometer long luge track that departs from the Jamnig-alm. The wellness centre of Mallnitz makes everything complete. Here you can relax in the sauna, the swimming pool, the steam bath and the whirlpool or you can get some exercise instead in the fitness studio. If you are staying in Hotel Hubertus or in the Kofler apartments the wellness centre is free of charge the entire week.

To end a busy day on the pistes in characteristic style you can dine in one of the restaurants in Mallnitz before checking out the vibrant après-ski scene with its popular establishments like the Ankogelbar or the Tanzstadl nightclub.
