The picturesque farming village of Axams is located in Tyrol, at an altitude of 878 metres. The associated ski area: Axamer Lizum, was built just above the village and has been popular among winter sports enthusiasts for years. The ski area is located high, is snow-sure and offers the advanced skier, in particular, some challenges. It is less suitable for beginners. In the valley near Axams, there are 30 kilometres of trails that connect to the network of Götzens, Mutters and Natters.
