About Tires (Tiers)
Tires is a small, charming mountain village in the Dolomites, located at the foot of the impressive Rosengarten and Schlern massifs (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Here, you stay close to nature, surrounded by snow-capped peaks, peaceful alpine meadows, and dense forests.
What makes this village special is its relaxed atmosphere. Don’t expect a lively après-ski scene – instead, you’ll find tranquillity and plenty of space. After a day in the snow, it’s the perfect place to unwind and truly relax.
Skiing in Tires
This is a surprisingly great destination for skiing. Just a short distance away is the sunny and compact Carezza Dolomites ski area, with around 40 kilometres of slopes – ideal for both beginners and more experienced skiers.
In addition, the Seiser Alm and several other ski areas in the region are easy to reach. This gives you plenty of variety, while still allowing you to stay in a peaceful setting away from mass tourism.
More than just skiing
Tires is also a great destination for those who want to experience winter in a different way. Take a walk through peaceful snowy landscapes, head out on snowshoes, or go sledding with views of the rugged Dolomite peaks.
The surroundings invite you to get outdoors, but also to slow down and simply enjoy the view.
