Kastelruth
Kastelruth, or Castelrotto in Italian, is a small, picturesque village in the middle of South Tyrol, Italy. Whilst Kastelruth doesn’t have its own ski area, you can easily reach the family-friendly Seiser Alm Via ski area via the gondola in Seis am Schlern (only a few minutes away from Kastelruth). This ski area has a total of 60 kilometres of slopes to explore and is at an altitude of 1060 metres. It is the perfect destination for cross-country skiers who love tranquillity, authenticity, and nature.
Since Kastelruth doesn’t have its own ski area, there is no après-ski scene to be found there. What you will find is great restaurants with delicious local specialties. The historic churches in Kastelruth are also definitely worth a visit. With a breathtaking view of the Italian Dolmites, Kastelruth is the ideal place for people who love charming, small villages and are seeking some peace and quiet.
