General information

Maishofen is located at an altitude of 770 meters in the Salzburgerland between the popular areas of Zell am See-Kaprun and Saalbach-Hinterglemm. You are within 10 minutes of either via bus. The village sits at the beginning of the Glemmtal, approximately 5 kilometers from Zell am See. For cross country skiers there is approximately 30 kilometers of tracks connecting to an additional 200 kilometers of tracks known as the ‘Pinzga-Loipe’. There are also connecting tracks to Maria Alm and Leogang. The lovely hiking trails in the area make this an ideal destination for avid hikers as well. The centre of Maishofen is not very big, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character! There are some shops, restaurants and a ski and cross-country skiing school. Maishofen is also equipped with a sauna and a solarium.
