FAQ

Which local corona measures apply to my wintersport holiday in France?

Update 29 december: On December 27, the French government announced that they are working on a law to imply the 2G-rule (vaccinated or recovered). The current 'health pass' will be replaced by a vaccination pass. This means that a negative test is no longer sufficient to enter restaurants and ski lifts e.g. In addition, the strict rules regarding vaccination certificates also remain in force. This is not officially announced yet. When we have more information we will update this FAQ. Below you will find the most important current measures:

  • Everyone from 65 years or over and who have been fully vaccinated for more than 7 months will need to demonstrate that they have received an approved COVID-19 booster injection in order to access the “pass sanitaire” in France.
  • Everyone who had one dose of the Janssen vaccine more than 2 months ago, needs to have had a booster shot in order to have a valid vaccination certificate inside France (to enter locations such as restaurants, ski lifts etc.) If you had a booster shot your health pass will be reactivated 7 days after you got the booster shot. If you didn’t got a booster shot you can take a PCR- or antigen test to access locations such as restaurants and ski lifts.
  • From 15 January 2022, those who are aged 18-64 years old and who have been fully vaccinated for more than seven months will need to demonstrate they have received an approved COVID-19 booster injection in order to access the “pass sanitaire” in France.
  • The French authorities are working on the 2G-rule, which will mean that everyone aged 12 and over must have a vaccination- or recovery certificate to access locations such as restaurants and ski lifts. This is not officially confirmed yet.
Within France it is mandatory to demonstrate your COVID-19 status for various locations (3G-rule). This means that you can either show a vaccination- or recovery certificate ór a negative test result. You need to present your COVID-19 status at the following locations:
- Restaurants, bars and terraces
- Skilifts
- Inside- and outside events as theatres, concerts e.g.
- Recreation- and sport facilities such as pools, fitness center e.g.

A negative PCR- or antigen test result will be valid for 24 hours. More information of test locations in France you can find here

Facemasks (from 11 years old)
In all public places, stores and public transport a facemask is mandatory. Also when you are standing in a queue (inside or outside) a facemask is mandatory.
