When will I hear if my holiday is cancelled?

We will always inform you no later than two weeks before departure if your holiday cannot take place. Please keep in mind that if the travel advice changes last minute (within two weeks before departure) we will still inform you if your holiday cannot take place and you are still covered by our Cash Refund Guarantee


We want to make sure that you can enjoy a nice holiday. That is why we do various checks on all parts of your holiday: your flight, your accommodation, the measures taken by the local government and the travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Because the rules can change quickly one after the other, we cannot give a definitive answer about your holiday before two weeks before departure. In addition, we want to inform all customers based on departure date, so that the first departing travelers are informed first.

When we are certain that your holiday can or cannot take place, for example because your flight has been canceled by the airline or when all the signals are green to go on holiday, we may be able to inform our travelers earlier. . In any other case, this is no later than two weeks before departure. We ask for your patience in this. Do you want to rebook or cancel your holiday earlier? Check whether you can already rebook your holiday via My Sunweb via the Exchange Guarantee or cancel your holiday with costs via My Sunweb.

We kindly ask that you to not contact us. We will work methodically by contacting all our customers based on priority regarding both departure date and urgency. 
We will also adjust the information both in our FAQ'S and on our website as soon as we receive any updates from local or international authorities which affect a particular holiday destination
