How to request a cash refund if you holiday has been cancelled

Cancelled holidays before 1st June 2020 

If your holiday was cancelled before 1st June 2020, and due to the exceptional circumstances you will have received a financially protected Refund Credit Note. We began processing cash refund requests in batches with the promise, that if requested, your refund will be processed before 31st December 2020. 

If you would prefer you have until 31st march 2021 to redeem your Refund Credit Note where you can take advantage of our Secret Deals. The deals are exclusive for Refund Credit Note holders, which can only be accessed by first logging into your My Sunweb account. 

Cancelled holidays after 1st June 2020

For holidays cancelled after 1st June 2020, you will have received an email with 3 options: 

  • Rebook your holiday now for a later date through your My Sunweb account.
  • Receive the total value of your holiday as a credit note to rebook your holiday when it is most convenient for you which can be arranged via your My Sunweb account.
  • Request to have your cash refunded cash refunded within 14 days.

How to request a refund

To proceed and request a refund please use the form on this page. You will need to fill in the details of the lead booker who has been awarded the credit note. You can find your credit note in your My Sunweb account.

You will be asked to confirm the following details: 

- First Name

- Last Name

- IBAN

- Swift /BIC Code

How long will my refund take?

If your holiday was cancelled before 1st June 2020, all refund requests are being processed in batches with the all refunds to be completed by 31st December 2020. 

If your holiday was cancelled after 1st June 2020, upon receipt of your bank details, your cash refund will process within 14 days. 

What is a SWIFT/BIC code?

A SWIFT or BIC code is a unique code that is assigned to your bank to identify it. If you do not know this code please contact your bank.

What is an IBAN code?

IBAN is your International Bank Account Number. If you do not know this number, please contact your bank. Please note that not every country uses an IBAN code. If your country does not use an IBAN code, then please select Non-SEPA in the refund form and fill in all the details.
