Mittersill

Mittersill is a beautiful city located in the province of Salzburg. North of the city lie the Kitzbühel Alps and south lies the Hohe Tauern Mountains. The river Salzach runs through the city. Surrounded by nature! Mittersill lies in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The National Park is one of the most impressive landscapes in the world. With Austria's highest mountain peaks (the Großglockner and Großvenediger), vast glaciers, alpine meadows, imposing rocky massifs and thundering waterfalls, this area will certainly impress you! In the summer you can enjoy hiking in the region, cycling or climbing it. Mittersill is the Tauernradweg and is the starting point of several hiking trails. Besides the beautiful nature Mittersill has a very nice center with its center the 'Marktplatz', the town hall and many terraces. Furthermore, there are several old castles and museums where you can learn more about the background of Mittersill. Take a visit to Schloss Mittersill, a castle dating back to the sixteenth century.

Kirchberg is joined with Kitzbühel, Jochberg, Mittersil and Pass Thurn to make one large ski area: Kirchberg/Kitzbühel. In this area every skier/snowboarder can enjoy acres of amazing terrain. The are about 168 kilometers of prepared slopes. On the Kitzbüheler Horn you can find a funpark for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. If you take the gondola, that connects the ski areas of Kirchberg and Pass Thurn, you can enjoy long, beautiful and ski tours and make it back at the end of the day without the need for a bus. Furthermore 3 chairlifts link Jochberg to Pass Thurn. You can also choose to extend your skipass to one that gives access to the full area of 704 kilometers. This is the Kitzbüheler Alpen skipass.

Travelling by car:

Snow chains are obligatory in the Alps. You need a toll permit for the motorways in Austria. You can buy the permit at the AA in the UK or in Austria at the major border crossings. The European Commission advises you to wear a safety reflector jacket in the event of a break down or accident. This vest can be purchased from the AA in the UK as well.

In the booking steps, is indicated for which days the lift pass is valid. If you want to change the lift pass to a different day than indicated in the booking steps, please contact our contact centre by telephone. The booking can then be adjusted. At the location it is not possible to change the lift pass to another day. An extension of the ski pass can often be booked extra; the price for this can be found in the booking steps.

Discounts:

The lift pass for children born after 1/1/2013 is free. Children born between 1/1/2000 and 31/12/2012 receive a discount on the lift pass. These discounts can be found in the calculation of your travel sum.

Deposit:

On site you have to pay the deposit of approximately € 2, -. You will receive this amount when you hand in your card again.
