Are you new to skiing and not sure where to book your first ski holiday? Here we share three great ski resorts that are perfect for beginners.

1. Les Deux Alpes, France
Les Deux Alpes is pretty much the perfect ski resort for those taking their first steps into the world of skiing. There are many blue and green slopes, which are easy to master and not very steep, ideal for new and novice skiers. As a result, learning the basics in Les Deux Alpes is pretty straightforward. If you also want to experience great après-ski, this is a brilliant choice. Many guests book their ski holiday here simply for a good party (or two), and Alpine partygoers consider the nightlife to be among the best in the French Alps.
2. La Plagne, France
What makes La Plagne special is that it consists of different villages, each with its own centre and distinct atmosphere. Some villages are more family-friendly, while others are perfect for a group of friends, but La Plagne brings all novice skiers together in one resort. La Plagne has mainly blue slopes (a slight step up from green), so if you fancy yourself as more of a second-time skier, La Plagne would be a good fit.
3. Hinterglemm, Austria
The beauty of Hinterglemm, especially for a beginner, is that everything you need is on your doorstep. From the cable car to the fun park, you can get from one place to another in practically no time. The ski area is covered in blue slopes, but even these vary in difficulty. So if the red slopes (you guessed it, more difficult than blue but not as difficult as black) still feel too daunting, you can work your way up on the slightly trickier blue runs dotted between Hinterglemm and Saalbach.
